We support Barclays Legal to deliver their annual Think Talent programme, for aspiring solicitors with neurodiverse conditions. Think Talent comprises of a one-week work experience placement with the Barclays in-house legal team, and one-week work placement with a partner law firm; Reed Smith, Hogan Lovells, Dentons, Simmons & Simmons, Addleshaw Goddard or Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.
CareTrade supports with Think Talent recruitment, ensuring individual reasonable adjustments are put in place at interviews, delivers Autism Awareness training to all teams involved and liaises with candidates and legal teams prior to placements regarding reasonable adjustments. We remain on-hand throughout the programme to advise on any issues that may arise and follow-up with candidates.
Emily took part in the Think Talent programme in January 2017, she said
“It has by far been the best opportunity for learning about the world of legal work, even down to the culture of law firms. Incidentally, I have since returned to Reed Smith as a Trainee Solicitor; a success I attribute to the Think Talent programme.”
If you are an aspiring solicitor with a neurodiverse condition and would like to find out when the next Think Talent programme will take place, please email Demelza Danaher, Employment Manager on [email protected]
